Our Commitment to North Staffordshire
The Potteries Party is a local political movement that prioritizes the voices and needs of the residents in North Staffordshire. We aim to create a transparent and participatory political environment where every resident's voice matters. It was started by 3 trade unionists and previously active Labour members and officers and was started to give residents a real choice from the main parties who have let North Staffordshire down again and again, no matter which party is in control.
Who We Are
Officers
We have members who drive our initial direction but the named officers of the party are as follows:
- Andy Polshaw - Leader. Stood as an independent candidate in the Parliamentary Elections in July 2024. He is also a trade unionist and an experienced campaigner and campaign organiser
- James Bradbury - Treasurer. Was a councillor candidate in 2019 and 2023, trade unionist and campaigner
- Paul Shipstone - Nominating Officer. A trade unionist and social media and in-person campaigner for a number of years.
